Labarum. The name applied to the banner bearing a picture of Constantine and the Cross which he is said to have seen in the sky, the Cross being really a monogram made up of the first two Greek letters in the name of Christ, Chi and Rho or X and P. (See CROSS OF CONSTANTINE.)
