Burning Bush.
A significant symbol in Royal Arch Masonry. In Exodus Ch. 3, appears the story told by Moses of how J*hweh spoke to him out of the midst of the burning bush which, however, was not consumed. We are informed that fire is a symbol of D*ity, but so many things were symbols of D*ity, that it is more likely that this story is not due to any such symbolism but rather to the fact that all ancient peoples looked for their g*ds to manifest themselves in some dramatic event or example of natural force or other phenomenon, such as fire, earthquake, wind, flood, etc., instead of in the small voice of conscience as we are more wont to believe in modern times.
