Burnes, Sir James, LL.D., F.R.S.

Scottish Provincial Grand Master for Western India (Bombay) 1836-46 and in 1849-62 Grand Master Scottish Freemasons in India. He published at London in 1840, Sketch of the History of the Knights Templars. He died in 1862.
