Napoleon, born Aug. 15, 1769, died May 5, 1821. While all four brothers of Napoleon were Freemasons and were on intimate terms with him, since he entrusted each with important duties, and though French Masons have continually urged that Napoleon was a Freemason, just as American Masons stretch every point to bring first one and then another r*volutionary figure into the Society, there is no evidence that Napoleon ever entered a Masonic lodge or ever had the degrees conferred on him.

Jerome, youngest brother of Napoleon, born Nov. 15, 1784, died June 24, 1860, King of Westphalia, Duc de Montfort, Governor of the Invalides, Marshal of France, and President of the Senate. He was Grand Master of the Grand Orient of Westphalia and his son, Jerome, was also a Freemason.

Joseph, eldest brother of Napoleon, born Jan. 7, 1768, died July 28, 1846, King of Spain, Comte de Survilliers, appointed by Napoleon to be Grand Master of the Grand Orient of France in 1804, jointly with Louis.

Louis, second youngest brother of Napoleon, born Sept. 2, 1778, died July 25, 1846, King of Holland, Governor of Paris, Joint Grand Master of the Grand Orient of France in 1804, with Joseph.

Lucien, third youngest brother of Napoleon, born May 21, 1775, died June 29, 1840, President of the Council of Five Hundred, Ambassador to Madrid, and member of the Grand Orient of France. See NAPOLEON I.
