Boeber, Johann.

One of the few known Russian Freemasons of the early 19th century. He was a counselor of Alexander I (a liberal Czar) and was Director of the Cadets School at St. Petersburg. He procurred, in 1805, a revocation of the decrees against the Freemasons and even the Czar joined the Society. Boeber was Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Russia, 1811-1814.
