Benediction. A brief blessing usually upon closing an audience, ceremony, burial etc., and so lodges close with a benediction, that in English language lodges generally being: ”May the blessing of Heaven rest upon us, and all regular Masons; may brotherly love prevail, and every moral and social virtue cement us. Amen.” Response: ”So mote it be.”
