Amun or Amun Kneph

Amun or Amun Kneph. A concealed and Supreme God of the Egyptians; along with Athom, Phtha, and Osiris, it personifies the Sun; the spirit or breath of nature. He was the Nature God, worshipped at Memphis, Lower Egypt. Amun created nothing but everything emanated from him. His name was pronounceable only by the priests. Amun-Re was the Libyan Jupiter. The Ram lying on a Book in the 17th Degree, Knight of the East and West of the Scottish Rite is a symbol of Amun.
